Writer and Executive Producer< SAL LIZARD is a 63 year-old actor from Kentucky and, until recently, a professional real-bearded Santa. He says he began his acting career as a child when his mother asked if he broke a vase. He added that he wasn't that good and his mother incentivised him to get better! Sal still credits his mother as the first to recognize his ability to act: "She was constant telling me to 'quit acting like a fool' or to act my age", laughs Sal.

Performing as a real-bearded Santa helped Sal hone his acting and improvisational skills: "When you portray Santa, you have to convince a very critical audience - children - that you are this character who's look and behavior has become so well-known to them. And you have to quickly and correctly answer a myriad of questions that you can't possibly anticipate."

Sal was a high school Thespian, with lead and principal roles. He also performed as an adult in Community theater in the greater New England region before becoming a film actor.

After acting in a few horror films (FEEDING THE MASSES, CREATURE FROM THE HILLBILLY LAGOON. HILLBILLY BOB ZOMBIE) he started appearing, as a celebrity guest at east-coast and Midwest horror conventions. He created the Vampire Santa character in response to attendees asking, “Why is Santa at a horror convention?” Over the years, Vampire Santa fans and even some actors gave asked , “When are you going to do a Vampire Santa movie?” So, he finally has. He has previously been published as the author of “Being Santa Claus” but this is his very first experience writing a script and states, "It’s very satisfying to see it so well received."
